Ears back, whiskers flared, arms pushing their opponent, mouths fiercely open, that's how red foxes fight during mating season. Both in males against males, and females against males to test their strength as a potential mate.
Id like to assume when a male-female pair is fighting, after a while a random animals comes along and says "you may now kiss the bride", which they then do while still leaning against eachother and become mates :3
